On November 13th, the Edison girls' basketball team will be hosting Urbana for their annual Cancer Awareness game. Instead of a "pink out" game, this year, the focus will be ovarian cancer. The girls are selling teal t-shirts for 15.00 each. The proceeds from the sale of the shirts and concessions from the November 13th game will go directly to a local family. This money will provide this family with much needed assistance with the overwhelming medical bills.
Please consider buying a shirt for your student and yourself to not only support the cause, but also the girls. It would be great to see the students wear the shirts to school on November 13th and then attend the basketball game that afternoon.
This is a huge way for us to make a statement and support ALL people who have dealt with or are still dealing with cancer.
