January 18
- Principals are coming to Edison: Edison's PTSA have invited the principals of both Centennial and Central High School to talk to parents about 8th graders making the adjustment to high school. Parents of 8th grade students are strongly encouraged to attend. The meeting will be Tuesday, January 31st in the Edison Library at 7pm.
- Reminder: Reminder that Edison's Honor Roll party for students who were on Honor Roll for 2nd quarter is this Friday. We are asking parents to donate bulk food items (no drinks). The items do not have to be individually wrapped. Donations can be dropped off on Friday, January 20th. This party is to reward students for their hard work. We appreciate anything you are able to give!
January 16
- No School: There is no school today (Monday 16th) in observance of Martin Luther King day.
- International Day: Edison is excited to announce there will be an International Day on March 15th from 8am-11am. Edison is a very diverse school and wants to celebrate different cultures from around the world. This is a great event for the school and we hope students can donate items and participate in this special event. See attached letter for more info. - Quarterly Newsletter: Attached is the quarterly newsletter from Edison.
8th Grade Parents below are important announcements for you!
- High School Registration: Parents should have received a letter from the district regarding high school registration. High School counselors will be at Edison February 7th . Edison's counselor will give course books to students soon to help them select their courses for 9th grade.
- Career Crusing: 8th graders at Edison participate in a computer program called Career Cruising. This program allows students to explore their interests and helps them figure out what career they might be best suited for.
