The 8th grade teachers went over expectations with the 8th grade class yesterday.  Here are a few of the expectations.  If you have any questions please email or call Jackie.

5.  Doors to enter day of: door #12 on State Street (we can us the library parking lot) or door #1 inside fenced in playground.  Once in the building you will be asked for your ticket.

6. Doors will be open for admittance at 8:30 am

Extracurricular Clubs: attached is the official list of Edison student clubs and extracurricular activities, including sponsor contact information.

College Gear Fridays: Students, wear your Avid or college gear on Friday.  Every Friday!

Building CouncilWhat do we do? We don't discuss district issues, personnel or curricular matters, or discipline problems, but we do brainstorm ways to improve and enrich our school environment, and make things run more smoothly for Edison students and staff.  We would like to recruit more parents to building council meetings.  Consider attending a meeting (held in Mrs. Borchardt's room): May 7 – 3 - 4pm

Social Probation: Please talk to your students about social probation, which is exclusion from participation in and/or attendance at an extracurricular school-sanctioned activity like ball games, concerts and dances.  A student will be placed on social probation if/when:

•He/she has not served the assigned detentions minutes

•He/she is failing one or more classes

•Administration places him/her on social probation.

County Market Max Dollars for Education: if you're a County Market shopper and wish to designate Edison as your Max card school, sign up at www.myCountyMarket.com or at the customer service desk at any store.  Our school code is 14088.

Student Council meets in Mrs. Altenbaumer's room, 234 from 2:45-3:30. We meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month.   All students are welcome to join.   If you missed the first meeting, talk to Mrs. Altenbaumer or Mr. Freeman, our two Co-Sponsors.  You can join anytime during the year.   Come make a difference in your school.
