[Edison-PTSA] PTSA Needs Cookies! More Cookies!!

The PTSA is showing our appreciation for the Edison Teachers and Staff this month with a Cookie Exchange.

But we need more cookies!!

Bar cookies, fudge, decorated cookies, holiday candies, or even chocolate chip!  If you're too busy, but Grandma loves to bake, we'd take her cookies, too!  Or get the dough already made in the refrigerator section and just pop them in the oven!

We need at least another 10 to 15 people to bring at least 4 dozen cookies next Wednesday, December 16.  Drop off details to follow.

For more information, or to let us know you can help out, please contact Kristian Sargeant at kristian.sargeant@sjcnc.org.

Thank you very much!

[Edison-PTSA] EDISON PTSA ANNOUNCEMENTS: Security Procedures for Today

On behalf of Ms. Levy,

Dear Edison Parents and Community Members:

In an effort to be transparent, we are sharing with you what we are sharing with our staffs regarding security procedures being implemented today in light of the release of the Kiwane Carrington report.

We have received information that the Kiwane Carrington investigation report will be released today.  Campuses should operate as normal; however, if it is determined that there is a need for increased security or additional safety measures, they will be initiated by campus administrators.

I reiterate, we are not mandating a soft lockdown unless it is warranted. It is important that we be proactive in keeping our students safe, responding to their emotional needs. If you have students who need additional counseling support, please contact your campus administrators.

·         Cookie Exchange: The PTSA is hosting a cookie exchange for teachers.  The idea is that each teacher will leave with a variety of cookies to enjoy.  We are looking for parents who would be willing to bake 4 to 6 dozen cookies (brownies, fudge, or other baked treats are fine too!).  If possible we would like them dropped off at the school the morning of December 16th.  If possible, I would also like a copy of the recipe ahead of time to have on hand in case a teacher would like a specific recipe.  If you are willing to participate or have any questions please email Kristian.sargeant@sjcnc.org.

·         Congratulations to Two Edison Teachers! The PTSA would like to congratulate Mr. Bryan Foli and Mr. Jonathon Ramirez. Both teachers have recently received their National Board Certification. We would like to thank them for their hard work and dedication in helping make Edison a better place to learn!
