Congratulations to our 6BBB team as they won the Mahomet Junior Bulldogs tournament this past Sunday with 3 wins and 1 lose.

 

Monday, Nov. 12

    BBB game versus Bloomington, 4:15 pm

Tuesday, Nov. 13

     GBB @ Chiddix, 4:30 pm (girls are to leave class at 2:15 pm)

Wednesday, Nov. 14

     GBB versus Bloomington, 4:15 pm

     6BBB at Douglas Center, 6:15 pm versus Champaign Heat

Thursday, Nov. 15

     GBB last home game versus South View

Saturday, Nov. 16

    BBB versus Effingham, 10 am

    7GBB regional game 11:30 pm in Charleston versus Mattoon

Monday, Nov. 19

     BBB versus Parkside, 4:15 pm

     6BBB at Douglas Center 8:15 pm versus Mahomet Orange

Tuesday, Nov. 20

   Convocation  our BB team, XC state runners, 6BBB team will be recognized on stage.  We will have our GBB and BBB stand for recognition at this time.

   BBB versus North Ridge, 4:15 pm (Illini Studio will be taking team/individual pics prior to game.  Please send your son's picture envelope on this day)

Mon., Nov. 26

     Wrestling tryouts 3 - 5 pm in the south gym

     BBB versus Jefferson, 4:15 pm

Tues., Nov. 27

     Wrestling tryouts 3 - 5 pm in the south gym

   Volleyball tryouts:  6th graders from 4:30 until 6 pm in the north gym

Wed., Nov. 28

     Wrestling parent meeting at 5 pm in the cafeteria

      Volleyball tryouts 7th graders from 4:30 until 6 pm in the north gym

Thurs., Nov. 29

     BBB versus Monticello, 4:15 pm

Fri., Nov. 30

     7th grade volleyball tryouts from 4:30 until 6 pm in the north gym

 

 Sat., Dec. 1 - Parent meeting at 1 pm in the cafeteria for 7th and 8th grade teams

 

info about 8VB tryouts will be coming your way soon.

 

Anyone trying out for wrestling or volleyball MUST attend all specified days for tryouts.

 

Required paperwork includes:

1.  current physical (if you have a sixth grader and you turned the physical in to the office please let me

    know).  Phsycial form is attached

2.  Completed Champaign Unit 4 form (attached)

3.  Copy of your insurance card or medical card

Edison's Mission

It is our mission at Edison Middle School to work collaboratively to place the focus on the academic, social, and emotional needs of each individual student first and ensure that ALL students are prepared for post-secondary education.

 

 

November 12

 

• PTSA Meeting: Our next PTSA meeting will be Tuesday, November 13^th at 7pm in the Edison Library. All are welcome to attend.

 

• Foreign Language Club: will meet Monday the 12th from 2:45-3:45 in room 140. We will learn the link between a red flower and a soldier. If you would like to volunteer to talk, share vetran experiences, or have information about army rations please contact hoyje@champaignschools.org

 

• Dylexia Workshop:

TIME;   Tuesday, November 27  6:30 to 8:00 PM

LOCATION:  Urbana Free Library Auditorium, 200 W. Green St. in Urbana

November 9

 

• Mini-Grants: Teachers be on the lookout for information regarding application for Mini-Grants. The deadline for submitting application for Mini-Grants is December 5^th.

 

 

November 8

 

• 2^nd Annual Thanksgiving Family Feast and Movie Night: Edison is pleased to announce the 2^nd Annual Thanksgiving Dinner and a movie on Friday, November 16^th from 6–8pm. This is for ALL Edison families–everyone is welcome to attend. Please RSVP and see attached flier for more info and to RSVP. Donations accepted but not required.

 

 

• Calendars: If you ordered a calendar of events at registration or after we have your calendar in the front office for pick up. Parents you or your student can pick them up during school hours.
