Edison's Mission

It is our mission at Edison Middle School to work collaboratively to place the focus on the academic, social, and emotional needs of each individual student first and ensure that ALL students are prepared for post-secondary education.

 

 

 

January 8

 

• Centennial HS: Charger Preview Night (formally called Future Freshman Night) will be held January 10^th at 7:00 p.m. in our auditorium.

 

• Community Forums: Champaign Schools will hold informational forums to discuss the Schools of Controlled Choice registration process. The forums will also include a Showcase of Schools. This will provide an opportunity for parents and guardians to meet and talk with individual school staff members. Attached is a schedule of events.

 

January 7

• PTSA Meeting: Edison's next PTSA meeting will be this Tuesday, January 8^th at 7pm in the Edison library. All are welcome to attend.

 

• PTA Council: The next PTA Council meeting is Thursday,  January 10 from 7-9pm at the Franklin Middle School Library. All are welcome to attend. Topics covered during this meeting will be mental health as it relates to the community and schools.

• School Dance:  Edison's next all school dance will be January 11^th from 6-8pm. We need volunteers to help with concessions and chaperone. Please e-mail apatton2@gmail.com if you are able to help.

• Dyslexia Workshop: An Invitation to educators, parents and the public to a free workshop--

TOPIC:  "The Emotional Impact of Dyslexia"

PROVIDER:  LEAP (Linking Educators and Parents) a dyslexia study group, serving east central Illinois

• Central Trivia Night: The annual CHS Music Booster's Trivia Night is coming up on Saturday, January 19. Attached is a copy of the event flier.
