  • SIT Conference for Kids: Everyone knows students in their district that really "get" technology. Here is a great opportunity to get those students to share what they know with their peers in a fun way - the Students Involved with Technology (SIT) Conference on February 12, 2011 at 6 sites throughout the state - Bloomington, Carterville, Charleston, DeKalb, Chicago-North, and Chicago-South. More information is available at www.sitconference.org. Students in grades 3-12 may register for SIT at any of the sites as a presenter or as a participant.  This is just like a real conference, but it's for kids / by kids (obviously with adult support throughout). The day begins with a keynote speaker at each site, followed by presentation blocks, lunch and closing session.  It's chock full of great opportunities for students, but it's dependent upon student involvement. This is completely run by K12 and higher education folks at the 6 different sites. If you would like to get connected with your nearest site's organizers, please contact info@sitconference.org
