EDISON PTSA ANNOUNCEMENTS
September 11
· PTSA Web site: The PTSA has a new Web site with helpful information for parents, students and anyone in the Edison community. Check it out at http://edison.u4friends.org.
· Thank You: PTSA would like to thank David Frye for hosting the mailing list and Web site. His efforts on these projects have been greatly appreciated!
· Cross Country: Edison’s cross country team raced at Jefferson yesterday. Runners continue to improve their times. Maddie Miller, Neda Sroka, Ashton Hyatt, Henry Sills, Payton Woods, Isaac Kasten, and Nimesh Avashia all received medals for their efforts. Congratulations and good luck at tomorrow’s race in Normal.

· Edison Spirit Wear: There is still time to order Edison Spirit wear! Orders can be placed by filling out the attached order form and sending it to the office with payment. The orders taken at registration are currently being worked on by Campus Sportswear and should be ready shortly. All orders will be passed out to your student at school. If your order is a gift, please indicate that clearly on the order form. Any questions, contact Jo Lynne Clauson at joclauson@comcast.net or Jacquie Pound at jpound66@comcast.net
· 2010 orders for 8th graders: Any 8th grader who is interested in purchasing clothing with “2010” on it, should turn in their order by October 9. T-shirts, long sleeve shirts and hooded sweatshirts are available. More information is available on the order form that is attached. Ms. Borchardt or Mr. Guzman can answer any questions.
· Boys Basketball tryouts: Boys basketball tryouts will begin October 19. All young men interested in trying out for the basketball team must have:
1. A current physical on file (if your physical from last year is still good you still need to turn in a new Champaign Unit 4 form and proof of insurance).
2. Completed Champaign Unit 4 form (attached)
3. Proof of insurance
· Athletic events for the week:
o Tuesday, September 8: Varsity and JV baseball against Franklin at Spalding, 4:15 p.m.
o Wednesday, September 9: JV baseball against Holy Cross at Spalding, 4:00 p.m.
o Thursday, September 10: Varsity baseball against St. Matt's at St. Matt's, 4:00 p.m. AND XCountry at Jefferson, 4:00 p.m.
o Saturday, September 12: Varsity and JV baseball vs Holy Cross at Zahnd (last home game), 10:00 a.m. AND XCountry at Normal Parkside, 9:30 a.m.
