  • Boys Basketball: It's almost time for tryouts for the 7th and 8th grade teams.  If you are interested in trying out you will need the following three pieces of information turned in to Ms. Borchardt (room 122) by Friday, Sept. 30

6th graders can try out for the 7th grade IESA team.  However, Coach Cain can select his team keeping 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 of the 6th graders.  Please understand he does not have to keep any but can keep up to 5.  The 6th graders will be playing on the IESA 7th grade team which means the rest of the team will be 7th graders.

7th graders can not tryout for the 8th grade team this year.

Tryout dates and times:

Monday, Oct. 17and Tuesday, Oct. 18  (all tryouts will be in the north gym)

6th graders wishing to try out for the 7th grade team along with current 7th graders:  3:00 until 4:30 pm

     8th graders:  7:30 until 9:00 pm

  • 6th grade only Park District boys basketball team: The basketball team for 6th grade boys only is a Park District team which we hold tryouts for, provide practice space, recruit a volunteer coach (which will be Coach Dave Wells) and provide uniforms for.  The schedule for this basketball team has not been sent to me.  Once I get the schedule Coach Wells will let me know when he would like to hold tryouts.

Any 6th grade boy wishing to try out for this team must also have the following pieces of information turned in prior to tryouts.  Since I don't know how much notice we will be given I suggest getting the paperwork turned in ASAP.

1.      Completed Champaign Unit 4 Athletic Insurance and Participation form (both sides)

2.      Current sports physical
