Edison's Mission
It is our mission at Edison Middle School to work collaboratively to place the focus on the academic, social, and emotional needs of each individual student first and ensure that ALL students are prepared for post-secondary education.
Girls Basketball tryouts: Any young lady currently in 6th, 7th or 8th grade at Edison can tryout for our 7th and 8th grade Girls Basketball teams. Before they can tryout they must have the following four pieces of required paperwork turned in to Ms. Borchardt (room 122) by Thurs., Aug. 28:
1. Current physical
2. Completed Unit 4 form
3. Completed waiver form
4. copy of insurance/medical card
Girls CANNOT tryout if they do not have all four pieces of paperwork turned in on time. Flier for dates/times of tryouts for Girls Basketball is attached. Our new Girl's Basketball coaches are 7th grade: Kelly Lomas and 8th grade: Roni Dixon.
Boys Basketball: Required paperwork is due to Ms. Borchardt by Thurs., Oct. 2. All the paperwork except the insurance/medical card is attached.
Edison Jackets: Anyone wishing to order an Edison jacket please see the attached order form. The first order is due this Thurs. (payment must accompany the order). Order forms may be brought to my room (122). I will be placing additional orders as our athletic teams are in season.

Wednesday, Aug. 27 JV Baseball versus St. Matt's at Zahnd, 4:15pm
Team/Individual picture day before the game
Cheer open gym from 4:30 until 6pm in north gym; anyone interested in attending must have a waiver form turned in to Ms. Borchardt by Tues., Aug. 26 (attached)

JV Baseball at St. Matt's, 4:15 pm
8th grade Girls Basketball Tryouts in north gym from 4:30 until 6:00 pm
Wednesday, Sept. 3 6/7 grade Girls Basketball Tryouts in north gym from 6:00 until 7:30 AM
Baseball double header versus Unity at Zahnd, 4pm
8th grade Girls Basketball Tryouts in north gym from 4:30 until 6:00 pm
Thursday, Sept. 4 Baseball double header at Jefferson, 4pm (Zahnd)
Parent/player meeting for the selected teams in the cafeteria, 5:30 pm
Friday, Sept. 5 XC at Chrisman, 4pm (XC team to be dismissed at 2pm). Roster on way soon
Sat., Sept. 6 Varsity baseball at Rantoul, 10am
Boys golf sectional at Hickory Point Golf Club (tee times to be announced)
Athletic Schedules are attached for Baseball (BB), Cross Country (XC), Girls Basketball (GBB), Boys Basketball (BBB), Wrestling (WR) and Volleyball (VB). The track schedule is not yet set.
