Phone Calls: The automated phone calls that the district sends about charges owed took all the student balances, negative and positive, turned them all to negative and called all parents. Please ignore the phone call(s). The district is working on repairing the problem. Sorry for the inconvenience.

BBB at Bloomington, 4:30 pm (players are to be dismissed from class at 2:15 pm)

6BBB vs Mattoon at Douglas Center, 7:15 pm

Tues., Nov. 15

GBB vs Chiddix, 4:15 pm (Last home game for our Lady Comets). We will be recognizing our 8^th graders

prior to their game. We have also invited 5^th grade girls from South Side to attend this game.

Wed., Nov. 16

GBB at Bloomington, 4:30 pm (players are to be dismissed from class at 2:15 pm)

Thurs., Nov. 17

GBB at South View, 4:15 pm (Last regular season game and players are to be dismissed from class at 2:15 pm)

XC banquet at Stone Creek Church in Urbana, 5:30 pm

7GBB regional game versus South View at Urbana Middle School, 7:30 pm

Study: Edison offers a couple of different options for students who need extra help. Listed below are some study groups and clubs to help students.

Read Attack – Wednesdays for all grade levels from 2:45-3:45pm.

Mr. Holden – 6^th

Ms. Kerestes – 7^th

Ms. Watson – 8^th

Math Attack –

Ms. Whitfield -6^thGrade and Galaxies Team – Thursdays

Ms. Decker – 8^th Grade and Constellations Team – Tuesdays

Computer Based Math and Reading Assistance

Ms. Jacob – Computer Lab – Tuesdays and Thursdays

Homework Club – Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday w/ Ms. Stanke in Room 122.

The Edison Speech Team: participated in the Annual State-Wide Speech Competition this past Saturday in Effingham,Il. Nine girls performed a duet and or a solo. Each girl's performance was outstanding and all received 1st place in their event!

Community Events: STUDY PARTICIPANTS NEEDED for project on use of social network sites in families. Seeking families with adolescent child (13-17) with at least one parent using Facebook, MySpace, or Twitter. Reward: $20 per family. Time (1.5h total): 1 interview, 1 focus group.
