Edison's Mission
It is our mission at Edison Middle School to work collaboratively to place the focus on the academic, social, and emotional needs of each individual student first and ensure that ALL students are prepared for post-secondary education.
Summer School: Middle Level Summer School registration is this Wednesday, June 4th at Edison Middle School in the cafeteria from 3:30pm to 5:30pm for SMART, Math Enrichment, AVID, STEM, and Extended School Year programs. We look forward to meeting all parents and students.
Fall Registration: Registration will be August 5th, times will be announced at a later date along with late registration dates.
Future Central Site: Champaign Unit 4 School District will host a Community Meeting on June 17 from 6-8 p.m. at Central High School to share information and gather feedback from the community regarding the future educational plans for its high school facilities. All are welcome to attend.
The District has been working with Champaign-based Gorski Reifsteck and the nationally-renowned DLR Group assist with the programming and planning for a new Central High School and a renovated Centennial High School.
Gorski Reifsteck/DLR Group has conducted a series of meetings with the District's teachers, students, and administrators to determine the academic programs that will be available at each school in the future and ensure adequate space is allocated for the growing student population.
Community members are invited to attend the Community Meeting to learn more about the proposed educational program at each school as well as learn more about the next steps in the planning process.
Feedback collected at the Community Meeting--in addition to internal stakeholder meetings, enrollment data, site analyses, community surveys, and other studies commissioned by or available to the District--will help to inform the Board of Education as it makes decisions regarding the future of the District's high schools.
