Central HS Boys Cross Country: Flier for Central Boys XC is attached. Parent meeting will be June 4

Book Fair: The Edison Library will be having a Buy One Get One Free book fair the week of May 14-17. The book fair will be open during school hours all week and will close Friday, May 18^th at 1:00 PM. Summer School Registration: Summer School registration is being held at Edison in the cafeteria from 4-6pm on Tuesday, May 15^th..

PTSA Officers: The elected Edison PTSA officers for the 2012–2013 school year are as follows:

President: Angie Patton

Vice-President: Cosette Fulk

Secretary: Michelle Anderson

Treasurer: Dustin Patton

Thank you to all who served last year and all of our committee chairs and parent volunteers!

South Side Retirement Party: Mrs. Parnell's retirement part will on Thursday, May 24^that 3:15 in the South Side gym. Please come and help us thank her for her years of service to South Side.

Athletic Banquet: Athletic Banquet for baseball, girls and boys basketball (including 6th grade BBB) and volleyball will be held on Thursday, May 17 from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm at Srtone Creek Church in Urbana. Cross Country members who have the top 5 GPA's will also be invited once the top 5 GPA holders have been identified. Ms. Borchardt will let parents know ASAP. Parents are asked to bring a side dish to be served with fried chicken, a desert and 2 liters of a drink (CHILLED)! the flier for the banquet is attached. Boys Basketball Camp: Attached is the flier for the boys basketball camp. Coach Johnson strongley encourages anyone interested in trying out for the 7th or 8th grade boys basketball team next year to attend the camp. Please turn your registration form and money in to Ms. Borchardt by May 20. Anyone registering after May 20 will not receive a camp tshirt.

Cross Country (XC): Anyone interested in running Cross Country for Edison next year is encouraged to participate in the summer running dates Coach Mills has scheduled. The summer running flier is on the athletic bulletin board outside Ms. Borchardt's room (122)

2012 - 2013 due dates for Cross Country

Friday, July 13 - Current Physcial, Completed Champaign Unit 4 form and a copy of your

insurance/medical card are due if you are planning to run Cross Country (XC)

Monday, July 30 - Season Starts. Anyone wishing to participate on the XC team MUST

start on this date.

Friday, July 13 - Current Physcial, Completed Champaign Unit 4 form and a copy of your

insurance/medical card are due if you are planning to tryout for the baseball team.

Monday, July 30 - Season Starts. Anyone wishing to tryout for the baseball team MUST

be able to attend the tryout times which can begin on this date.

Actual dates/times of tryouts will be announced over the summer.

Friday, August 10 - Current Physcial, Completed Champaign Unit 4 form and a copy of your

Monday, Aug. 27 GBB season starts - Anyone wishing to tryout for the basketball team MUST
