January 6
- Dance Volunteers: Got enough for tonight! Thanks to all who stepped up to help.
- PTSA Meeting: Edison's Next meeting is on (Tuesday) January 10th at 7pm. Officer Westfield (Edison's School Resource Officer) is giving a presentation/talk about bullying. After the presentation there will be a discussion and parents will be able to ask questions.
- Student Council: Attached is a list of student council meetings and student council officer meetings.
January 5
WELCOME BACK! Please read below because we have a lot of info to catch you up on.
- Dance: School dance is from 6-8pm this Friday. Students will need their student ID, signed permission slip, and $2 to enter. No one is permitted in after 6:30. Students might want to bring some extra money to purchase food and drink. Parents will need to pick their students up at 8pm.
- PTSA Meeting: The PTSA will be meeting next Tuesday, January 10th at 7pm. Informal gathering time is 6:45. The meeting is held in the Edison Library and ALL are welcome to attend.
- Report Cards: Report cards should be going out within the next 2 weeks.
- Attention 8th Grade Parents!! Future Freshman Night: Attached is more info about Future Freshman night for Central and Centennial Schools. 8th Grade parents and students are strongly encouraged to attend.
- Honor Roll Party: The Honor Roll party is January 20th for students who made the Honor Roll for 2nd quarter. The students look forward to this reward for their hard work. We are asking parents to donate food items. The food items don't have to be individually wrapped and no drinks. Bulk food items like chips, cookies, crackers etc. Please drop off the food donations on January 20th. All donations are greatly appreciated.

Community Events:
The Central High School Music Boosters: Announcing the Third Annual Trivia Night, January 21, 2011 at Faith United Methodist Church. This event includes dinner (6 pm), trivia competition (7 pm), door prizes, snacks, and soda. Raffles and silent auction will occur throughout the evening. Answers are submitted by your team at your table; you are not required to answer questions individually. Early Bird Registration fee is $160 through Jan 7 (after Jan 7, registration fee is $180) for a team of up to 8 people. All monies raised will go to support Champaign Central's Music Programs.
