Edison's Mission
It is our mission at Edison Middle School to work collaboratively to place the focus on the academic, social, and emotional needs of each individual student first and ensure that ALL students are prepared for post-secondary education.
PTSA Tissue Drive: cold and allergy season is here and Edison classrooms are woefully short on boxes of tissues, so let's restock the school! The Tissue (facial tissue, that is) Drive is now through Friday Dec 4. There are large collection boxes for each grade level in the main office.
Jazz Bands Concert tonight: don't miss it, 7 pm in the Edison auditorium. Feel free to bring boxes of facial tissues to donate to the school; we'll have a collection area in the hallway.
Mark your calendar for next week's December Band Concert on Friday Dec 11, 7 pm.
Madrigal Dinner at Central High School: The 35th Annual Madrigal Dinner will be presented Saturday and Sunday, December 12th and 13th at 5:00 p.m. in the Central cafeteria. Madrigals is a very festive event and a great way to kick of the holiday season! Tickets are on sale until THIS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4th. Tickets are $25 per adult and $10 for children. Reservations are being accepted online at http://maroons.org/madrigals, email maroonchoirs@gmail.com or call 779-379-2313 to make reservations. Guests not wishing to make dinner reservations may come for the concert only.
Spring Musical: Edison's Fine Arts department will be presenting The Lion King Jr. for the Spring Musical. More than any other show before, we are in need of parental help. This is a play full of spectacle so we need help with costumes, props, puppet making, set and many other production areas. We are asking help from any parent who might be willing to volunteer their time and talent, regardless if your child is the play or not. Thanks for the Box Tops collected so far this year! We will receive a check for $260 for the Box Tops we have collected and now it's time to start again. Mrs. Wells is collecting them for new PE equipment. You may send them into her or give them to any teacher to put in her mailbox. Thanks for the support!!
