Edison's Mission
It is our mission at Edison Middle School to work collaboratively to place the focus on the academic, social, and emotional needs of each individual student first and ensure that ALL students are prepared for post-secondary education.

PTSA Meeting Tonight: Tonight is our PTSA meeting at 7pm in the Edison library. All are welcome to attend.
Book Fair Was a Big Success: Thank you all so much for your support of the Fall Book Fair! Because of your support, Edison's book fair is one of the most successful fairs in the area. I use all of the profits from the book fair to purchase books for the library so that all of our students have current, desirable books available to read.
Some of you mentioned at open house that you may have gently used, middle school appropriate books you could donate to the library. We always especially need any graphic or manga books or any Wimpy Kid, Big Nate, Harry Potter, or Rick Riordan books, etc. Please email me or drop the books off at the school. smithde@champaignschools.org
Have You RSVPd Yet? Edison's 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Family Feast and Movie Night is coming up on Thursday November 21st. All are welcome to come join us and the event is FREE. (Donations are accepted). Dinner begins at 6pm in the cafeteria and the movie will start at 7:15pm in the auditorium. See attached form to RSVP and to find out more

Central High School Spiritwear: Central PTSA has Spiritwear for sale. If you have a student headed to Central in the next year or two, these will make great Holiday gifts! We have maroon and gray t-shirts ($12), gray hooded sweatshirts ($25), and maroon sweatpants ($20) all with the 2013 logo's. Dear Edison Families,
I would like to invited each of your families to Edison's 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Family Feast and Movie Night!
"What is this?" you ask.
I will tell you what it is. In order to show appreciation for our students, families, teachers, and staff, Edison is having a Thanksgiving Dinner on November 21 from 6-8:00pm. The dinner will begin at 6:00 and at approximately 7:15pm, families are invited to go to the auditorium for a viewing of "Charlie Brown Thanksgiving." Take a break from cooking dinner for your families and enjoy one on us. This event is for ALL families!!! ALL are welcome! All you need to do is complete the attached invitation with your student's name and the number of people attending and we do the rest. We hope to see everyone on the 21st! Have a great week!
