Edison's Mission
It is our mission at Edison Middle School to work collaboratively to place the focus on the academic, social, and emotional needs of each individual student first and ensure that ALL students are prepared for post-secondary education.

- School Registration  for 2013-2014: Mark your calendars school  registration date is August 8th. Time is to be determined. We will announce  more info as soon as it is available.

- Important Links: For students who eat school  meals for free or at a reduced price during the school year, there is also a  free meal program available once school gets out for the summer. The Summer  Food Service Program (SFSP) provides free, nutritious snacks and meals to children  18 and younger and is operating throughout Unit 4 Schools this summer. Please find attached a flyer  containing the times and locations for meals this summer. You will also find a  document attached with information about the new online Free and Reduced Meal  Application and information on how to log in to important Food Service  Department accounts.
 
- District Summer Library Hours Program: Please find information attached regarding the District's  Summer Library Hours program. During the summer months, the District will  provide access to some of our school libraries to students to support continued  learning over the break. The Summer Library Hours will take place Monday, June  10 to Friday, August 2.  Students can browse, check out books, and participate  in reading and learning activities.  Elementary students can go to any of  the elementary schools; any middle school student can go to Jefferson; and any  high school student can go to Centennial.  Happy reading!
 
- CU  Scholars Workshop: CU Schools Foundation is holding professional development  workshops on June 3 and 4 at Parkland College for local high school students  enrolled in our CUScholars Program.  Here is a link to a news release with  details:

- Oklahoma Relief Drive: The Champaign PTA Council is holding a relief drive for victims of the Oklahoma tornado. The drive will be held from Wednesday, May 22nd to Wednesday, May 29th. Donations boxes courtesy of Home Depot will be made available at each school. Financial donations can be made to PNC Bank under the Champaign Unit 4 PTA Council's account. Lists of items for donation can be found on the attached flyer. There will be a need for parent volunteers to assist with the sorting process. - Sunday  with the Superintendent: On Sunday, June 2, Champaign Unit #4 School  District will hold a Sunday BBQ with the Superintendent at Garden Hills  Elementary School from 1-3 p.m. The community is invited to meet with  Superintendent Dr. Judy Wiegand, Executive Director of Human Resources Mr. Ken  Kleber, Executive Director of Business Services Mr. Matthew Foster, and  Assistant Superintendents Dr. Susan Zola (Elementary), Ms. Angela Smith (Middle  School), and Dr. Laura Taylor (High School).
