- Athletics: We are gearing up for an extremely busy week for athletics at Edison.
8GBB regional games are being held at Edison on Mon., Nov. 28, Tues., Nov. 29 and Thurs., Dec. 1.
Admission prices are set by IESA: k – 8 and senior citizens (62+) = $2.00
High school and adults = $4.00
Everyone will need to pay unless you have an IESA/IHSA pass
Volleyball: 7/8VB tryouts will be announced shortly.

5:30 pm Urbana vs South View
BBB travels to Jefferson, 4:15 pm
Tues., Nov. 29
8GBB regional games: 4:15 pm Jefferson vs winner of first game

Wrestling tryouts from 3 – 5 pm in the south gym

6th grade volleyball tryouts from 4:30 until 6:00 pm in north gym
Wrestling tryouts from 3 – 5 pm in the south gym.
Parent Meeting for wrestling will be at 5:30 pm on Mon., Dec. 5 in the cafeteria.
Parent meeting for volleyball will be at 5:30 pm on Wed., Dec. 7 in the cafeteria.
November 23
NO PTSA meeting for December: There will be no December PTSA meeting.
• Madrigal Dinner: Champaign Central High School will host its 31st Annual Madrigal Dinner on December 3 and 4. Please join us for an evening of festive music, wassail, dinner, kings, queens, boar's heads, jesters, lords and ladies, and other trappings of pre-Enlightenment Europe. Tickets must be reserved by November 30. Please visit www.maroons.org for more information and to purchase tickets online. The attached flyer provides additional detail as well as contact information for making dinner reservations by telephone or email.
Study: Edison offers a couple of different options for students who need extra help. Listed below are some study groups and clubs to help students.
Read Attack – Wednesdays for all grade levels from 2:45-3:45pm.

Homework Club – Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday w/ Ms. Stanke in Room 122.
Community Events:
STAR Leadership: The inaugural STAR Leadership Institute will take place on December 10,
2011 from 9 am-12:00 pm at the Champaign Public Library. The information provided at the institute will include a presentation regarding the City of Champaign*s Proposed Storm Water Utility Fee, and 2 concurrent workshops: one on the use and design of rain gardens, and
the second on broadband internet access in conjunction with the new UC2B implementation efforts in the Champaign/Urbana community. Participation is free of charge; however seating is limited. To register, please see the attached brochure/registration form or visit our website at
