Be sure to have your students contact Mrs. Bahr if they have a rehearsal conflict IN ADVANCE of the conflict day.
- Summer Softball: Champaign now has a Girls 14U Softball Team. The Urbana Maroons, that's correct, we are called the Urbana Maroons. The Urbana Maroons are members of the Okaw Valley League, sponsored by the Urbana Program, and will be playing competitive Girls 14U Softball this Summer. We are currently looking for Champaign Girls 14U who are interested in participating. The goal is to prepare each player to be fundamentally sound for High School Fast Pitch Softball. The philosophy is that success is a direct result and byproduct of learning to play fundamentally sound softball. Teaching an understanding of the game is our paramount concern. This is a summer league and summer should be about fun. Having fun and playing solid, competitive softball is what we strive for. Registration is March 29th and 30th, or you can simply mail payment by March 30th. Players are positioned by age, and practice begins early to mid april, with games beginning in mid to late May, running through mid July. Our team plays approximately 22 regular season and tournament games. Please see Mrs. Borchardt for a flier.
